RUBRINGS / SELECTION & SUPPLY
O-ring kits, cords & splicing
Plan an O-ring kit by size, material and quantity. Compare moulded replacements, rubber cords and O-ring splicing kits for maintenance.
Choose the assortment around your equipment.
O-ring kits are useful when the compartments correspond to the sizes and materials your maintenance team actually uses. A large piece count does not establish compatibility with the machine.
- List the equipment, original seal references and recurring sizes.
- Separate metric and imperial size systems and identify every compartment.
- Specify compound and hardness; colour is not a reliable material code.
- Record quantity per size, labelling and traceability requirements.
Rubber cords and O-ring splicing kits
Rubber cords are specified by material and cord diameter. O-ring splicing kits add a joining method to cut cord; the resulting joint needs application-specific assessment.
Do not assume a spliced ring has the same performance as a continuous moulded O-ring. State the joint requirements, media, temperature, movement and acceptance criteria before using a spliced seal.
Send a size list, not just a kit name
For a kit enquiry, prepare a list of size codes or ID × CS dimensions, material and quantities. Confirm kit and splicing-item availability separately; this guide does not imply a stocked kit range.
