Polyurethane (PU) Seals

Rod & Piston Seal
Rod Seals, also known as Gland Seals, Headbush or Neck Seals are an integral part of any hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder system. Essentially, they are designed to seal between a cylinder’s rod and gland.
* Piston Seals are used in hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder for fluid sealing to prevent fluid or other media to by-pass the piston as the system pressure pushes the piston down the cylinder during a pressure cycle.

Wiper Seal
A wiper seal is an axial seal that creates a seal while allowing a reciprocating shaft to pass through the seal’s inner bore. Wiper seals are often used for fluid containment and to prevent dirt from entering a reciprocating shaft mechanism.

Das Seal
Das Seal is a double-acting seal and guide element comprising of a rubber seal, two split support rings and two split bearings, located either side of the seal. The profile seal ring seals in both the static and dynamic range whilst the backup rings prevent extrusion into the sealing gap. The DAS style compact seals are self-acting double-acting seals. The radial forces acting on the elastic rubber sealing element after installation are superimposed by the system pressure.

Glide Ring
Glide Rings and Cap Seals are filled PTFE fittings that are installed with a rubber o-ring seal energizer for increased dynamic performance on both rod and piston configurations. Designed to be used in reciprocating hydraulic, pneumatic and dry applications at pressures up to 3,000 psi where o-rings and x-rings do not perform well enough on their own. Can be more cost effective than more complicated custom seals.
