Oil Seals

Rubber-Covered Oil Seals (A)
Our rubber-covered oil seals provide an excellent solution for sealing fluids in environments
that demand high flexibility and chemical resistance. These seals are ideal for preventing
leaks in various automotive and industrial applications.

Oil Seals with Dust Lip (AS)
The addition of a dust lip provides an extra layer of protection against external contaminants
such as dirt, dust, and moisture, making AS-type oil seals perfect for off-road equipment
and machinery operating in harsh environments.

Metal-Cased Oil Seals (B)
Our metal-cased oil seals offer increased durability and structural strength, making them
ideal for heavy-duty applications where mechanical wear is a concern. They are widely used
in gearboxes, pumps, and hydraulic systems.

Double Metal-Cased Oil Seals (C)
For the most demanding applications, our double metal-cased oil seals provide superior
sealing performance and protection against internal fluid leaks and external
contamination. These seals are often used in construction machinery, marine applications,
and industrial equipment.
Oil Seal Materials and Compounds:
1. NBR Oil Seals
NBR oil seals offer excellent resistance to oil, grease, and other chemicals, making them a reliable choice for automotive and industrial applications. These seals are widely used in engines, gearboxes, and hydraulic systems.
2. FKM Oil Seals (Fluoroelastomer Oil Seals)
Fluoroelastomer, FKM, FPM, are all different names for the same synthetic rubber material family. There are even more names for this material than we have listed here, these are simply the most common names. Why does the same material have so many different names?
Here is what each of those names means:
* Fluoroelastomers are a family of fluoropolymer rubbers.
* FKM is the American standard (ASTM) short form name for Fluoroelastomers or fluoro rubber material. F stands for Fluoro; the K is an abbreviation of the German word Kohlenstoff, meaning Carbon; and the M is the designation of saturated backbone rubber from ASTM.
* FPM is the international ISO 9000 and ISO/TS 16949 standard registration for Fluoroelastomers.
* FKM is a registered trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomers LLC. Back in 1958 they developed this compound to meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry for a higher-performing elastomer.
