O-Rings

Standard O-Rings
Our standard O-rings feature a simple donut-shaped design, perfect for basic sealing applications. They provide reliable protection against fluid leaks and can be used in a variety of low to moderate pressure systems, making them a versatile choice for general industrial applications.

Quad Rings (X-Rings)
Quad rings, also known as X-rings, feature a four-lobed design that enhances their sealing ability, providing greater stability and reduced friction in dynamic applications. These rings are perfect for use in low-temperature and low-pressure environments, where a standard Oring might fall short in sealing efficiency.

Square O-Rings (Flat O-Rings)
For applications that require higher pressure resistance, square O-rings (also known as flat O-rings or washer O-rings) offer enhanced dimensional stability and durability. Their square cross-section allows them to provide better sealing performance in high-pressure applications, ensuring a tight, leak-proof seal.

Silicon O-Rings
Known for their high oxygen permeability, silicone O-rings are widely used in wastewater aeration systems and applications that demand high-temperature stability. They offer flexibility and superior performance in extreme environments.

HNBR O-Rings (Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber)
HNBR O-rings offer enhanced resistance to extreme temperatures and ozone exposure, making them suitable for automotive, oil & gas, and aerospace industries. These high performance O-rings provide long-lasting durability in the most demanding environments.

FKM O-Rings (Fluoroelastomer)
FKM O-rings (also known as Viton® O-rings, FPM O-rings, or fluoroelastomer O-rings) are engineered to resist extreme temperatures, chemicals, and fuels, providing superior sealing performance in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. These O-rings are frequently used in the oil & gas, aerospace, and chemical processing industries.
O-Ring Materials and Compounds:
1. NBR O-Rings (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber)
NBR O-rings are the most commonly used elastomer for sealing solutions due to their excellent resistance to oil, fuel, and other chemicals. Ideal for automotive and industrial applications, NBR O-rings are both cost-effective and durable.
2. VMQ O-Rings (Silicon)
Known for their high oxygen permeability, silicone O-rings are widely used in wastewater aeration systems and applications that demand high-temperature stability. They offer flexibility and superior performance in extreme environments.
3. HNBR O-Rings (Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber)
HNBR O-rings offer enhanced resistance to extreme temperatures and ozone exposure, making them suitable for automotive, oil & gas, and aerospace industries. These high- performance O-rings provide long-lasting durability in the most demanding environments.
4. FKM O-Rings
Fluoroelastomer, FKM, FPM, and Viton® are all different names for the same synthetic rubber material family. There are even more names for this material than we have listed here, these are simply the most common names. Why does the same material have so many different names?
Here is what each of those names means:
* Fluoroelastomers are a family of fluoropolymer rubbers.
* FKM is the American standard (ASTM) short form name for Fluoroelastomers or fluoro rubber material. F stands for Fluoro; the K is an abbreviation of the German word Kohlenstoff, meaning Carbon; and the M is the designation of saturated backbone rubber from ASTM.
* FPM is the international ISO 9000 and ISO/TS 16949 standard registration for Fluoroelastomers.
* FKM is a registered trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomers LLC. Back in 1958 they developed this compound to meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace industry for a higher-performing elastomer.
